Our Tweenie Room

Inquisitive and Eager
 
The Tweenie room is a large, bright and airy room that has been designed for children who are attending crèche on a part time basis (mornings only). This room runs from 8.30 am to 1 pm and is suitable for children aged 2-3years. The ratio in the tweenie room is 1:6 with a maximum of 18 children alongside three highly qualified, experienced practitioners. We have found that children of this age are very inquisitive and eager to participate in new and exciting activities.

Settling In

We offer a three day to one week phase in period in our Tweenie room which is free of charge. This can be anything from 30mins to 2hrs per day and it is to ensure that your child is completely settled with us and that you feel secure and confident leaving your child in our care. 

Sweet Dreams

There is no allocated sleep time in our Tweenie room as the children are only in our care for a short period of the day and are kept busy throughout the morning. We have a cosy rest area within the room that children can freely relax in if needed throughout the morning.

Emerging Interests

In our Tweenie room the curriculum plan is subject to change on a daily basis as we follow the children's direction and let them take the lead and guide us as practitioners through their emerging interests. Each day your child will enjoy circle time where they will join together as a group and learn the days of the week, numbers, colours, shapes and much much more. All children learn and develop at their own pace as the practitioners ensure that each day is as fun as the last with a wide range of activities i.e. sand play, arts'n'crafts, soil play and lots lots more. Each child is able to explore and learn in a fun filled safe environment.
