After School Hours

Safe & Sound

The children have a large cloakroom to keep their bags and get changed in to comfortable clothes, we ask that you label ALL of your child's belongings as there does tend to be a lot of confusion with uniforms, beakers, jumpers etc. In the case that your child's belongings do go missing we have a lost and found box located in the reception area which we encourage you to look through.

Dinner time:

For children attending full days we will provide a hot meal. This meal is a balanced, nutritious main meal which comes from a company called “Little Dinners”. Children are encouraged to try new tastes and of course chat, laugh and have an enjoyable time with their friends. We would like to advise parents that this is a small portion to bridge the gap until dinner at home. The meal is served in two group settings the first group starting at 3.30pm and the second at 4pm approx. A weekly menu is on display on our notice board in the reception area and will also be emailed to parents.

Homework:

We provide homework supervision and support in a quiet and focused environment with Judy who is a qualified primary school teacher. A homework report will be given to each child to put in their bags once they have finished their homework. .If we notice the children are having any difficulty with homework it will be documented in the report. Please be aware that we do not correct the children's homework, should they for example write backwards etc.. we advise parents to check over their child's homework once at home as we feel that both parents and the child's teacher, should be aware if their child is experiencing any difficulties with any subjects and this is often seen through the child's homework.
